Traditional Feng Shui is a powerful practical philosophy which can reveal the good and bad influences affecting a location or building and its occupants.

An art and a science, Feng Shui utilises calculations of 'chi', or essential energy, combining the influences of Time and Space and Place.

Set within its unique landscape at any particular time a building or location absorbs the prevailing chi which, collectively, may be good, bad or indifferent. This, in turn influences the quality of life and fortune of the occupants.

This is shown in the calculations as the symbolic interaction of the Five Chinese elements - wood, fire, earth, metal and water and the qualities of yin and yang.

Knowing these symbolic qualities enables the Feng Shui consultant to prescribe mitigating measures, the ultimate aim of which is to achieve a balance and harmony of the elements and hence the quality of life and fortune of the occupants.
